Beginning the Project
To begin this project, we did something that was called the 2 hour prototype challenge. This consisted of trying to come up with something in two hours AND MAKE IT, that an orphan ranging from 3 to 16 would enjoy. It could have been a toy, an item, a structure, or a building.
What my partner and I made was a chest for the orphan to put their valuables in, we didn't have wood at the time so we first madeit out of popsicle sticks and super glue.

Peer Critique and Personal Growth
After the two hour prototype challenge, we received critique on what we built. My partner and I were told important information such as what would the dimensions of the box be if we made it out of wood? Would the child be able to place common things in there? How would he open it or would it be just open all the time?
These were important questions I was asked, and this induced growth in me by showing me how much more work I actually had to do.

Explanation of process, materials, and personal evaluation.
The process of the project started from day 1. Where we had to act like kids in order to experience what it was to truly be a kid again. We spent one week re-experiencing the joy of being a 5 year old in kindergarten.
Other than that, we began with the two hour design which I already explained above, then we were given materials and were told to work.
While we were working, we were given an assignment to try and find better designs to the design we already have and try and improve them.
For personal evaluation, I believe that I have done a good chunk of work, and I am proud of the box I created an I believe that it is of a high quality.
